Our story
A strong history of farming roots
Our story begins in 1978 when our founder Harry Ridley, a farm manager from farming roots, invented the first automatic wire winding machine, which came to be known as the Rappa Winder.
A lot has changed since then. Our flagship product has evolved with the times and we’ve diversified our range of electric fencing and fencing accessories. Through working and listening to the farming community, we’ve added a vast array of products to our range, ensuring we are able to cater for all livestock control needs.
One thing that will never change is our commitment to Harry’s founding vision: making the job easier.

Did you know?
We are often asked why our Barrow Winders are blue. This is because our founder, Harry, had some blue paint left over from his Ford tractor when he was developing the first Barrows, so he used it to coat the first batch. We’ve upheld the tradition of the blue colour ever since.
